   • A research-based module with two assessments
   • A dissertation

The dissertation topic focuses on an area of interest to individual students. You will receive full guidance and support from the course director throughout the dissertation writing process.

LLM Continuation programme consists of:

Researching Business Law Module
Providing an introduction to legal research and the writing of legally researched papers.

Assessed by two coursework components:
1) A literature review
2) A research proposal

Your opportunity to do a major, extended piece of research on a maritime law topic of your choice. The dissertation should aim to suggest a new way of thinking about and/or improved understanding of the topic you have researched.

Your performance is assessed by means of:

  • Two pieces of written coursework for the module (together worth 15%),
  • A dissertation (worth 85%).
