The first module provides an introduction to the core elements of the marine insurance industry, its history, roles and relevant legislation.
This module describes the policies involved within cargo insurance, the largest of the marine insurance sectors, including a close examination of the Indemnity Principle, Insurance Duration and Institute Trade Clauses.
The third module describes the significance of Hull and Machinery insurance and the various mechanisms within, such as general average, sue and labour and partial and total loss.
This module describes and explains the additional marine insurance policies not covered by cargo or Hull and Machinery insurance policies.
This module explores the rationale for mutual insurance and the development and management of P&I Clubs.
The final module describes the role reinsurance plays in marine insurance and the relationships between the various parties involved.
