Semiramis Koliou-Contogoula

Post Fixtures Analyst, Navig8 Europe Limited 

Semiramis has many years of experience working with major shipping companies in Greece and the UK. Her expertise has been gained working in a broad range of departments including operations, crewing, chartering, freight collection, claims and insurance, and accounting.

Semiramis has also authored modules for the Lloyd’s Maritime Academy Diploma in Maritime Business Management, and was a lecturer of the Shipping, Transport and Logistics department at BCA College in Athens, which collaborates with London Metropolitan University.

She holds a degree in International Shipping from the University of Plymouth. She majored in Economics with a minor in Shipping Management and Operations when studying at postgraduate level with the College of Southeastern Europe.

Dr Katerina Konsta

Managing Director, SeaWorks Training & Consulting Ltd

Katerina was the department head for BCA College’s Shipping, Transport & Logistics Department. Her extensive teaching experience has been gained at various colleges and universities, lecturing on courses in shipping, maritime business and related subjects. She has extensive experience in shipping consultancy and training obtained over the last 20 years.

She obtained her BSc in Maritime Business & Maritime Law and her MSc in International Shipping from the University of Plymouth, as well as completing her PhD in Maritime Policy with them last year. She also holds an MSc in Shipping & International Transport/Logistics from the University of Piraeus.

Dr Evi Plomaritou

University Lecturer, Frederick University Nicosia

Evi has worked in maritime consultancy and training for the last 20 years. She undertakes the planning of marketing strategies and chartering policies of shipping companies, teaches leading shipping companies in-house, and lectures for academic institutions and professional bodies across Europe.

She was awarded with distinction her PhD in Chartering Policy and Marketing Strategy of Shipping Companies from the University of Piraeus, where she had also completed her BSc in Maritime Studies. She also holds an MSc in International Transport from the University of Cardiff, as well as professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (AdDip in Logistics & Transport) and the Cambridge Academy of Transport (ProfDip in Dry Cargo Chartering).

More recently she has published Shipbroking and Chartering Practice, 8th Edition, which is part of the Lloyd’s Practical Shipping Guides series.

Anett Belhazi

Ship Broker, Affinity Tankers Ltd

Anett studied at Budapest Business School, Hungary and at the University of Derby, UK. After graduating with a BA degree in economics and international communication, she started her shipping career as a demurrage analyst at Exxonmobil in Fairfax and Budapest.

Over the last 12 years, Anett has worked in a variety of roles within the shipping industry. She spent two years with Teekay Shipping on an expatriate assignment in Copenhagen as a claims coordinator and vessel operator before moving on to the Handytankers Pool of Maersk where she worked as the assistant operations manager. She was responsible for the coordination of several procedure and system changes as well as setting up, training and developing the operations assistant team in Mumbai. She has also worked for Navig8 London as a bunker trader and vessel manager, and now is a ship broker for Affinity Tankers.
