Dr Christodoulou-Varotsi is a legal and academic expert with an
international educational and professional background specialised in international maritime and EU law and policies. Focus on shipping regulations, including industry best practice, from the standpoint of maritime safety, marine environment protection and maritime labour standards. Qualified lawyer since 1995. Highly experienced law drafter. Course Director and industry trainer with Lloyd's Maritime Academy for many years. Currently involved with consulting work, legal education and training.
She has published many books, including 'Maritime Safety Law and Policies of the EU and the US: Antagonism or Synergy?' (Springer/Germany), and 'Marine Pollution Control: Legal & Managerial Frameworks' (Informa law from Routledge).
She has been included in the Woman of Influence List 2019 of MaritimeEconomies magazine (Liberty Press).
