The course is intended to give a holistic view of all aspects of shipping finance and operating and capital costs as relevant to the small and medium size shipowning company. It fully integrates alternative financing techniques into practical aspects of the business, such as covering fixed and variable costs, and capital expenditure.*

Dr. Norton holds a Master's Degree in Maritime Law and a Doctorate in Shipping finance. He is currently a lecturer in constitutional law and bank regulation at Cardiff Business School.
Dr. Norton has extensive experience in the Maritime Industry where he has worked for the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and has lectured extensively in the West Indies.
