Bharat has more than 30 years’ maritime industry experience. He started his career with the Shipping Corporation of India as
a junior engineer before continuing to Chief Engineer with Univan Ship Management, before taking a job ashore as a marine engineering trainer.
Since then, he has lived in various countries such as Canada, USA, Singapore, Australia and India, working in senior management positions for a shipyard, a large ship management company, a marine consultancy and a ship services company. Presently Bharat is a vessel auditor, maritime trainer and new building consultant. He is a Member of the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada and a Life Member of the Institute of Marine Engineers (India) and Institution of Naval Architects (India).

The credits gained on completion of your Diploma allow you to continue your studies with Middlesex University to gain a postgraduate qualification. You can study an MBA in Ship Superintendency, or gain advance standing onto the MSc in Marine Operations. This continuation route has only been recognised for graduates of Lloyd's Maritime Academy Diplomas.
