This small craft specific diploma is one of a kind. Taught by industry experts, and in partnership with the North Kent College (home to the National Maritime Training Centre) this programme has been created to meet both the requirements expected of the industry and your career needs.
It has enabled hundreds of participants to specialise in small craft surveying and focuses on vessels up to 24 metres in registered length.
The detailed syllabus provides marine surveyors, potential marine surveyors and associated maritime professionals with a recognised qualification that gives them the knowledge to assist personal and professional development.

Karl Pizzey is currently the General Manager and Ship Surveyor at ‘Larsens Marine Surveyors & Consultants Ltd’. Having previously been involved in the Further and Higher Education system in a technical capacity for eight years.
Karl is a previous student of the Diploma Course in Small Craft Surveying and completed the course with distinction and now brings first-hand experience of the course, and his subsequent career, training and experience, for the benefit of course participants.

Graduates of the Diploma in Small Craft Surveying can apply to continue their studies to the MSc Marine Operations with Middlesex University with advanced standing entry. This continuation route has only been recognised for graduates of the Lloyd's Maritime Academy Diploma.
