The Course Directors at Lloyd's Maritime Academy create and update our portfolio of distance-learning courses, tutor our students on our industry-leading online VLE, and advise on industry trends, regulations and issues. They are chosen and recruited based on their industry and teaching expertise, and willingness to share that knowledge with students.

The duties of the Course Director include:

Creating original content for Lloyd's Maritime Academy courses, based on best-practice instructional design methodology

Updating existing course material to reflect changes in the industry

Tutoring students and helping them succeed in their courses.

Advising Lloyd's Maritime Academy on accreditation and verification with third-party bodies and institutes

Assisting Lloyd's Maritime Academy and academic partners with marking and assessment when required

Taking the lead in developing lifelong learning and career pathways

Working with Lloyd's Maritime Academy to ensure quality benchmarks are met vis a vis student feedback

Suggesting new potential courses for students which can be provided through distance learning
