Dr Iliana Christodoulou-Varotsi is a legal and academic expert with an international educational and professional background specialised in maritime and EU law. She has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1995 and is currently involved with consulting work, legal education and training, with Lloyd’s Maritime Academy and with an international ship classification society. She is also a certified trainer and lecturer in Greece, as well as an accredited mediator.


Trevor Harrison is a full time maritime arbitrator and mediator. He was called to the Bar more than 30 years ago; after practising in chambers he joined a P&I club where he handled cargo and other claims and FD&D matters. After this he spent over 20 years as head of legal for Tramp Oil & Marine, one of the world's largest suppliers of marine fuels where, amongst many other things, he made and defended bunker claims, arrested countless ships in numerous jurisdictions and handled a number of large liquid cargo claims.


Dr Evi Plomaritou is a Lecturer of the Department of Maritime Studies of Frederick University teaching Chartering in the BSc and MSc programmes of study. Moreover, since February 2011 she has been working as Shipping Consultant at the Lloyd's Maritime Academy. She undertakes the planning of marketing strategies and chartering policies of shipping companies, as well as the in-company professional training in Greece and abroad (UK, Abu Dhabi, Cyprus, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Cape Town etc.).


Dr Constantina Sampani studied law at the University of Athens. She continued her studies at the University of Kent at Canterbury where she completed an LLM in International and Commercial Law and specialised in Transportation, Finance and Insurance of exports and means of transportation, International Business Transactions and International Commercial Dispute Settlements (Arbitration and Litigation).


Mathias Haase is a charterer with Navig8 Group. In Mathias' current role, he is responsible for independent daily spot and time chartering for the CPP fleet consisting of up to 50 ships from Handysize to LR2 for the regional markets East of Suez. He is also responsible for strategic decision making based on global fleet distribution and market developments. Previous to this he work for Torm, where his most recent position was Deputy Chartering Manager. Mathias has a Graduate Diploma from Copenhagen Business School in Business Administration.


Simon Williams is an expert on issues surrounding the maritime regulatory environment. He is a Director of a consultancy, specialising in ship management solutions, naval intelligence and maritime security.

Also a regular contributor on the maritime industry to leading publications such as the Maritime Executive, Lloyd's List, Naval Technology amongst others.
